Then when I tried redeeming the code again, it said "already been redeemed." What should I do?

This is a known issue on Microsoft's side. Although the error appears, the code has actually been redeemed, but the subscription may not yet show up in your Xbox account.

Do NOT redeem any more codes for now.
Avoid entering additional codes until the issue is resolved.
Wait up to 24 hours.
In most cases, the missing subscription will automatically sync and appear in your Xbox account within 24 hours.

If the subscription does not appear after 24 hours, you can contact Xbox Support and explain the situation:
- Let them know you attempted to redeem a code and received an error.
- When you tried again, the system reported that the code had already been used.
